Nelida Agramon Morales

Master of Science in Soil Science

Nelida has a B.S. degree in Chemical engineering from Major San Andres University, La Paz, Bolivia. She worked for two years as an analyst of Soil and water relationships in an Environmental Lab. She also worked one year as Lab Professor of Chemistry and Physics at the Catholic Bolivian University. Nelida did her M.S. in Soil Science in our Lab from January 2020 to December 2021and her project focused on the Response of Corn and Soybean to P and K Fertilization in Long-term Trials in North Carolina. Holly Walsh

Undergrad Research Assistant

Holly has a degree in Environmental Technology and Management, Chemistry & Toxicology at NC State University. She assisted our group in field and laboratory activities from May to December 2021.

 

 

 

Chandler Fulmer

M.S. Student

Chandler has a B.S. degree in Crop and Soil Science from NC State University, NC. He worked in our group from January 2020 to July 2022 and his project was focusing on a Soil fertility and Soil Health survey in the agricultural counties of North Carolina.

 

 

 

Anna Weigel

M.S. Student

Anna has a B.S. degree in Agronomy, Crop, and Soil Science from Brigham Young University. Anna did her M.S. in Soil Science in our Lab from August 2020 to July 2022 and her project focused on Predicting the Soil P Buffer Capacity using Standard Parameters from Soil Test Reports. Brooke Matusko

Undergrad Research Assistant

Brooke was an undergraduate student at NC State University majoring in Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems with a concentration in Community Food Systems in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences. Ben Gordon

M.S. Student

Ben has a B.A. in Theater & Performance from Bard College and a Master of Professional Studies degree in Global Development from Cornell University, in which he focused his studies and research on soil health and international agriculture development. His work as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay, where he served for 2 years as a Crop Extension Volunteer, and his 5 years of experience working on small vegetable and livestock farms in New York and Vermont has inspired him to study agriculture and soil science at Cornell and after, at NC State. Ben did his M.S. in Soil Science in our Lab from August 2021 to June 2023 and his project focused on fertilization strategies for high-yielding soybeans. His thesis is available here.
